GREAT NEWS ABOUT WATER!

Parents,

We are pleased to inform you that we have received official notification from the Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment (DWEE) that the "Do Not Consume" water advisory for the City of Bayard has been lifted. Recent testing confirms that nitrate levels in the source wells are safely below state limits.   

What this means for our school:

• Water Fountains: All water fountains throughout our facilities will be opened soon and available for students and staff to use.

• Normal Operations: We will no longer be utilizing plastic water bottles for students, but we do encourage all our students and staff to bring refillable bottles they can use throughout the day. 

We want to express our sincere gratitude to each of you for your flexibility, patience, and support during this challenging period. Adapting to changes like this is never easy, but our school family and community stepped up without hesitation.

Most of all, we want to recognize our amazing students. Throughout this whole situation, our kids showed incredible patience, adaptability, and positive attitudes. They truly make us proud every single day!
